I was especially honored to have the opportunity to donate my sash and portrait to the Florida House, where they will now live as part of its collection. It means so much to contribute a small piece to this special place that celebrates Florida’s story and leadership in our nation’s capital. 🥹

It’s hard to believe the first part of my journey as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow is already coming to a close in the next few weeks!!

These past few months have been so exciting; stepping out of my comfort zone by moving to a new city, a new law school, and a new job all at once. I’m so thankful to God for giving me the courage to believe in myself, and even more grateful that the Executive Office of the Governor believed in my ability to serve our state 🇺🇸💫

I’ve had the honor of working under some of the most brilliant, passionate, and hardworking people at the Florida Department of Education. I've been traveling across the state, helping draft speeches, talking points, and press releases for both the Commissioner and the Governor, and even getting a private NASA/SpaceX tour with my fellow Fellows.

Every day, I get to work hard for Florida’s children, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of such an incredible cohort. 💙🌴☀️💫 @stthomaslaw @tarlikanavarro @stuprez

Alongside nine other graduate students, I’ll be placed in a state agency, where we’ll contribute to Florida’s executive branch throughout the year. At the end of the fellowship, we’ll each present a policy proposal, and Governor DeSantis will select one to implement into state policy.

As part of this opportunity, my second year of law school tuition is covered by the state of Florida, which is both humbling and motivating. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to learn and give back.

As one former fellow (now a Deputy Chief of Staff) said, this program cultivates the future leaders of Florida government.

Guess who's gonna become a Tally girl! ❤️💛 I am so excited to have been OFFICIALLY selected for the Florida Gubernatorial Fellows Program for the 2025-2026 class! This prestigious program selects a small number of Florida’s top law and graduate students who demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to public service. Being chosen is a dream come true and an opportunity I’ve been working relentlessly towards for the past seven months.

Next year, I will spend a full school year working at the Florida Capitol while also completing my 2L year at FSU Law. I cannot wait for this incredible experience, and I'm even more grateful that I will return to St. Thomas Law for my 3L year to graduate as a Bobcat! 🐱 This opportunity is so special to me because my ultimate career goal is to become a political press secretary!

I want to extend my deepest thanks to the amazing staff at the Career Development Center for their support. You are all INCREDIBLE! I am also incredibly grateful to my mentors, @miamiesq , @bygoldmeier , @estrellasibila , and my wonderful boss, @dianasantamariapa , for helping me through every part of this process.
